EDIT : this does not fix my issues

there are (not even) dozens of us!

It’s just you, @pmjv@lemmy.sdf.org and some of the other !unix_surrealists

Ayy lmao. Also, OSX getting fucked too? Fantastic.
Also funny how freebsd is at 0%

Is this really not a Linux distro?
Over a decade later and people still don’t believe us! PonyOS is not a Linux distribution - it’s also not a BSD, or a Hurd, or a Minix, or a Solaris!
Not mentioned :
Copyright 2013-2026 K Lange PonyOS is based on ToaruOS, which is free software released under the terms of the NCSA/University of Illinois license.
IDK. If one wants to try the Os without ponying it up, they can try this

good for pointing out for people, my bad. IDK which macs are what.

so… kde with a pink scheme?
EDIT: Yeah. source even says it’s Debian+ KDE + Pink
EDIT2 : @DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works , the webcam stuff is on you, it’s basically debian. use debian solutions for your particular macbook/webcam and it should work.
Or just get Asahi linux and slap a pink KDE theme/the theme/branding for HM linux on that. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asahi_Linux
EDIT3 : Just install this and call it a day : https://store.kde.org/p/2362661
default breeze, the black one
EDIT : Downloaded a win 3.1 dark version just for the hell of it , since you prompted me https://store.kde.org/p/999998
I’m half “my computer sucks and I don’t want to risk making a mistake and install it on my actual real HD and kill my projects” and half “I prefer just jamming shit on the trashpad” and half "what’s your recommended way of spinning up VMs? I’m on debian btw
fantastic, ever since the Dylan debacle I was looking to at least try a non systemd distro, I will try to install it in a few months on my trashtop we use for kids vids
does it use Systemd or not? wikipedia was unclear :
MX-25 “Infinity” was released on 9 November 2025 and was built on Debian 13 “trixie”.[32] Standard kernel is 6.12.43 with Liquorix 6.15 for the Advanced Hardware Support “AHS”. New is the deb822 sources format. The installer can “replace” an existing install and offers zram swap. Support for Secure Boot. KDE is version 6.3.6 with both Wayland and X11 sessions available. All releases are available with Systemd. The Xfce, Xfce-AHS, and Fluxbox releases are also available in sysVint variants.[33] MX-25.1 With the release of 25.1, Dual Init is now again possible.[34] This includes both systemd and SysVinit[35] init systems on the same ISO.[1]
Raus aus der windows, zürück nach Open Suse

Or the code you are working on is calling a system that is currently unreliable which you cannot be responsible for.
Fuck test automation, it’s a fucking trap get out of it as soon as you can
EDIT : that is to say, test automation as in automation that a tester does, instead of unit tests. If you have started a career as a software tester , get out ASAP.

stick to v550? That’s what I’m doing with my piece of crap, and it’s only melting because of the stupid non muxing (or whatever) integrated graphics card.

yes, let’s enable people to create the nuke of shooting yourself in the foot by putting AI into the global banking system so that people can vibe code the global economy.
What’s the issue? Company pays for development, everyone gets it for free.
