VMware offers their Workstation hypervisor for free now. I’m able to run Windows 10 surprisingly well using that, and use relatively intensive software like Affinity Designer without any noticeable issues.

It’s a usability nightmare for me. I sure love it when I open a PowerShell prompt, and some random window takes focus instead for no reason. Or when I create a new folder in Explorer, and the address bar inexplicably steals focus.

• Occasionally, ad terminal things using Raspbian

It doesn’t, but thousands of people all downloading 3-4GB from the same site will put more load on the site. Torrents avoid this issue by downloading little bits from lots of different peers
