Have been there lately, the repo has been archived and is read-only. This doesn’t look good. Time for me to visit the Syncthing forum to see what’s going on.

Assuming you’re talking about Catfriend1 giving up on syncthing-fork?
Install version 2.0.11.2. This was the last version of it under control of CatFriend1. Just scroll down a bit on the F-Droid page and tap on the version you want to install. And then toggle “ignore new versions”. There’s a competing Android client made by nel0x who’s been maintaining the Google Play version. I’m waiting for them to release more updates. They seen to have a good rep in the Syncthing community.
Plenty of launches like this on F-Droid.
Edit: These minimalist launchers force you to spend more time on your phone looking through the app drawer for the app you want. I prefer a launcher that lets me open an app faster, thereby spending less time on my phone.
I noticed nel0x started releases on their Github.
Currently, I’m undecided about waiting for a F-Droid repo or just install via apk from Github and get update notices through rss.
researchxxl’s account is 3 weeks old so I have doubts if you have been using their app for months.

I decided on LocalSend instead. Doesn’t auto transfer but is very easy to use and fast. Side of Burritos has a video about it.

I was just reading through the syncthing forum about this. https://forum.syncthing.net/t/does-anyone-know-why-syncthing-fork-is-no-longer-available-on-github/25661 Nearly everyone in that thread is suspicious about this. No notification from Catfriend. New dev has no history.
For now, I going back to what I did before Syncthing - a USB-C thumb drive and copy files manually.
Syncthing and Syncthing-Fork have been removed from my devices.
I often have to force close the app to get it to play after pausing the music.
VLC has been working for me without issue for weeks.
It could because I’m using Droid-ify or that I have 2.0.11 installed to the site is showing me that version.
I’m considering updating the app since nel0x (maintainer of the google play version) and researchxxl (who catfriend gave the app to) are joining forces.
