It reminds me of how inside people tried to claw back the meaning of the word “hacker” from general use as a negative. Sorry but that ship sailed a long time ago.
Don’t stop at hacking websites…
I would get slightly amused every time I typed “lust” instead of “list” as a kid in applesoft basic.
I’ve never heard of codeberg. Can someone explain what it is, briefly?
Edit: I love being downvoted for asking a simple question. I thought I left reddit to get away from these twits.

As someone who uses RHEL for work every time I have to set something up on a windows system I groan. It really boils down to the app, some are very easy to use but it seems anything that involves OS config, the registry and permissions becomes a royal pita. Linux isn’t 100% pain free (looking at you package conflicts) and SSL config sucks on all OS’s but the majority of the time it presents smaller hurdles because I can dig into any part I need to.
So we’ve gone from banning books to banning apps.
could face up to 20 years in jail, a million dollar fine, or both.
So I’d get less for stabbing someone.
Got tired of formatting text
They appear to have a job opening for editor too
I think the version issues blocked me. I’ve put the toolbox on some of our test systems but dnf seems to be excluded from it. I’d probably have to build it.
It sounds scary lol
An OS used by IBM on their mainframes. I have to work with it because some big orgs, especially financial and gov, still use it and run our apps on it.
I tried grabbing it and couldn’t even get it to install. If you have a link to a good install…
As someone who has to do installs and admin at work a lot I’m constantly dealing with yum/dnf. I cry when I have to work with AIX.
I’m so glad it isn’t just me lol
Just need to do a dnf update on them all…
No certs and degree isn’t in CS. I just have lots of experience.
My pathway was basically:
Surprised to hear stability questioned. We have RHEL systems at work that have been running 24/7 for over a year.
