So if say 5 persons want to talk, they have to connect to a specific address and behind that address this soft turns I guess?
How do you authenticate people?

Interesting!
So you have to connect to some central point to use it(which can be ran locally by yourself)?
Ah ok, maybe that’s why they arent enshittified that much then!
Didn’t microsoft buy them?
I have had several, but usually you had like 1 hour. Entreprise windoze 7 a couple of years ago, happened several times. There was also some update that bricked some 50% of the dell laptops lol, mine went through but my colleagues sweated bullets.
Now it’s force restarting “outside business hours” or some crap. How stable.
Try to run old soft on windows though😓
Is it a rick roll? I hope it is a rick roll.
It feels a bit childish to call it microshit, micropenis, micro$oft etc if there is no specific context IMO.
I don’t know what systemd does and now I’m too afraid to ask.jpg
Also obligatory fuck microsoft, go crawl and Embrace other stuff.
Yeah this is classic legacy code.
Complicated code is when 700 projects are all entangled and when you add a 3D bar for measuring purposes (it was just a bar like 100 nanometers long so you could get a feel for size in 3D scans, in the 3D viewer), the up (not the down) mouse scroll stopped working for sliders in all the 2D GUIs…
That is crappy code and I was there when we got that bug (Avizo software).
Wow that’s cheap!
Watch out crypt nerds!
Edit: crypto, not crypt! Leaving it 🧟♀️
Or per XKCD, where are they finding a wrench for $5??
As it is not stable I’d go with a database.
Sqlite.
Everything can be represented approximatively.
e = π = 3
ricist
Edit: aparently it has chinese origins about modding cars so it is racist (?).
Try to play Diablo 2 or Commandos on a new windows box … Possible but a huge hassle IMO.
I have a python app that would love to run on a small wifi device like an ESP, how far away is the possibility to do that? Could I freeze the python fikes to (8MB IIRC) executables (Linux) and run them?
Also, how do you use an sd card on the esp?
I toyed around a lot with the old ESP 8266 back in the day so I’m a bit out of the loop with thise newer ones.
One year later the soft is fixed.
“Where is my red tint?!”
Great initiative!
Now move it to Codeberg ;-)
PS. What’s it based on?
