Really needs more stability and to solidify its modifying features, not have them a bit everywhere. Really cant have a black screen bug every time I put my PC/Laptop to sleep

Encountering sleep/black screen bug is not freedom. The average linux user is shifting, its not longer being used only by teens/tech savvy. People want to get things done.
I think its really about wanting to just get things done instead of fixing/encountering bugs like sleep/back screen. KDE should review their priorities. But I guess its coming, you cant add new features at infinitum.

Linux@lemmy.ml•HDR and Color Management Wayland coming to Linux before the end of this year - Zamundaaa (Xaver Hugl)182·1 year agoMeant to write Color Management, mainly used in gaming (one of the reasons Valve is pushing hard for this)
With explicit the protocol and the Nvidia patch for it next July, most Nvidia problems will be solved
Very much. Thunderbird are receiving like 6M on donations. They simply know how to market and subtlety but assertively advertise their donation requests.
What does Bazzite brings that Nobara doesnt already?
while Debian is still deciding if they ship with Wayland by default or not, Fedora and KDE are planning to already completely drop x11 for their next release (they ship Wayland by default)

How does it work, one requests the devs to take over the project or clones it?

Linux@lemmy.ml•What's new in Fedora Workstation 40 - Fedora Magazine2·1 year ago1 every 6 months or so. so 2 per year. The main difference with other distros is that Fedora is always improving and adding new tech developed in various projects that make part of the FOSS world.
I was actually looking to use Winamp. Does this skin makes it look exactly like Winamp? How do I get it?

Linux@lemmy.ml•You think Linux is living a Renaissance with Gaming and New Non-Technical Users?15·1 year agoFlatpak just fixed their cleaning up of old versions which was a deterrent for a lot of people. There are a few technical things people complain about. I think the main real complain comes from its syntax since it doesnt work with shell or is POSIX.

Linux@lemmy.ml•From Windows to about 6 recommended distros for gaming.2·1 year ago6 for gaming? There are only a few real serious Distros: Fedora, Opensuse, Debian, Ubuntu and MX/Mint/Arch(all in the same category). From what Ive seen there is only 1 serious distro: Nobara. That comes with Kernel Patches.
