Can we organize and force the Linux Foundation and/or OFAC to exclude open source software from these sanctions? Is anyone doing that yet?

Organic Maps should be 18+.
Why not use bash-completion? The running example you gave is dangerous - you could end up running one or more of the wrong executables.
I do this too! $5/month to Fedilab, Wikipedia, OrganicMaps, AntennaPod, Signal, among others. Gotta support open source!
