Solaris was great until they insisted on keeping their crappy CPU for way too long before adding x86 support and lost their market share and their company.

It was a terrible gamble and they lost hard to Linux as a result.

The segfault at the end was perfection.

To be honest I use signal “message to self”. I know there are better ways to do it but it’s a very convenient way to transfer small files from my laptop to my phone securely.

These would also be my top two apps. Absolutely essential pieces of kit IMO.

The android integration is just so good these days. Syncing is the only minor issue but it is minor.

I installed mine from fdroid. Just searched on the play store and couldn’t see the same one on there or even anything with the same name.

Agreed. It’s such a great learning process. I ultimately gave up on Gentoo but learned a lot by using it for about 2 years way back in around 2005.

Linux From Scratch brings a huge leap in understanding too.
