Tho to be fair I wouldn’t want to use an iso distributed by a shady company like Microsoft.
Void linux might be something, if you want to try a distro that is independent from the usual distro-tree-roots.
It’s a corporate distro whose company’s actions are against the linux philosophy.
I didn’t mention them, because I simply haven’t used them yet.
There isn’t a best distro, tho I stick to the root of a distro tree, meaning arch / debian.

Wouldn’t recommend ubuntu, but can vouch for linux mint, which was my first distro. You will generally find an answer for any question you might have by including mint in your search.
This post implies that you’re a beginner. I wouldn’t recommend debian as a beginner distro.
