most games are not foss, and it makes sense.
(games are more like works of art ranter than software after all, so it just doesn’t matter)
copyright will eventually expire after your death
and cc nc does not prevent derivatives, just profiting off of them without explicit permission, which is not that big of a deal
the author can still sell the work, the NC prevents other people from profiting off of it without explicit permission (this does not prevent exemptions, work can still be sold under cc-by-sa as an exemption)
or CC BY-NC-SA (the non-commercial-use-only one)
it’s currently opt-in rather than opt-out, fully on-device and won’t work on devices with weak NPUs (or on any which completely lack it)

there are simd accelerated json decoders
it’s for the official Office keyboard.
it comes wirh shortcuts to ms office stuff and was supposed to work without installing any software, so they bound them to an extremely long key combinations no one will trigger by accident and shipped the changes to all windows users.
also another fun fact: Ctrl + Alt + Shift + Win corresponds to the “Office” key, and hitting that combination will make Windows silently and automatically download and install the Microsoft/Office 365 App and launch it, even if it was previously removed

systemd is more of a set of products and software components branded under a single name rather than a single thing.
systemd itself is rather simple, as most other pieces systemd-* software, like systemd-boot, systemd-networkd and systemd-resolvd. these are usually more stable and less bloated than more popular alternatives
sudo is overkill for most users tbh
yeah there are even still some remaining windows 3.0 dialogues used in the latest win11
wasn’t it leaked already
Our textbooks (in Ukraine) used to include stuff on both windows and linux (specifically, linux mint with cinnamon), and included a chapter on libreoffice/openoffice
yeah it’s perfect for taking notes and stuff
btw what do you think about typst?
i only used it for simple stuff so far but it seems pretty fun and easy to use
yeah, just css is enough.
you don’t need js unless you need to fetch data dynamically.
you can do all of your animations, dropdowns and transitions in css.
like this menu i made. no js in sight.
also fully accessible and you can tab right into it without clicking enter or whatever
(and respects prefers-reduced-motion)
the clock app has a built in spotify integration and player.
the calculator sends diagnostic data.
